You can listen to it below!

And of course, don’t forget about “The Album Show” by One World Music Radio featuring Ambient Highways.

Give them both a listen and let me know your thoughts!

From now until October 31, 2015 it’s a Good Vs. Evil sale of music! My two most recent albums Ambient Highways (The Good Side) and March of the Inanimate (The Evil Side) are on sale for only $3.99 if purchased directly from CD Baby OR Bandcamp!

Bandcamp and Free Music Download Codes!

As you may have noticed in the previous section, I have established a presence on Bandcamp as another source for my music.  I for one have used Bandcamp many times as the platform offers artists a way to provide music in a wide variety of formats.  I also want my music to be as accessible as possible as I understand many folks prefer to acquire and stream their music from one direct source.  It makes sense to include Bandcamp as a source due to it’s growing popularity.

With my addition to Bandcamp, I’m also offering download codes for both my albums in the Good vs Evil promotion to the next 10 subscribers to my newsletter!  So please share this with your friends and family!   If they sign up for the newsletter at krichiemusic.com they’ll enter a chance to win download codes for free digital copies both albums !

What’s Next

New Music

I’ve slowly started work on new material.  One of the first tracks I started working on was once again reviving an old song titled Candles which was based on a poem my oldest daughter wrote many years ago.   It’s in it’s very early stages. You can sample it on Soundcloud below.

It’s possible I may be able to spend some time in my studio at the end of the week working on new music.  Be sure to keep checking for updates!

Hosting Platform

I am looking at re-hosting my music site to a different hosting provider.  I chose hostbaby as the platform because it provided many features and allowed me to get something up that offered a responsive design and built in support for audio, etc.  It appeared to be something I could use to easily create my primary online music presence and make edits, etc in a timely fashion, but I have discovered just way too many limitations in their platform.  I also just didn’t have the time to put forth my own efforts into developing out a site myself.

However, with the limitations in the hostbaby platform, and the fact that I can’t redirect a subdomain such as music.krichie.com to it, nor have it hosted as a subdomain I had to create krichiemusic.com.   But I’m just not happy with that choice OR the platform.

My ultimate goal is to find a new provider.  Possibly SharePoint (I mean I am a SharePoint developer), but I’m not going to necessarily lock myself into that.  Once I find a new provider, I want to rehost my music related content as a subdomain of krichie.com.  Once that is done, krichiemusic.com will simply redirect to it for awhile.

That will happen over time.

I hope you enjoy reading the reviews, and if so please leave me your comments!

"The music creates a highly ‘visual’ and hypnotic experience achieving an inner clarity of thought processes transporting the listener to a level of serene contemplation. “– Robbie Tee

Ambient Highways Album Review by Robbie Tee on Jamsphere

"The music creates a highly ‘visual’ and hypnotic experience achieving an inner clarity of thought processes transporting the listener to a level of serene contemplation. These songs use a soothing and subtle harmonic texturing of sounds in the intention of establishing a central mood carefully enriched through delicate rises in tone, with perfectly sequenced breakdowns. Cases in point – V Feeling and Dew From The Mourning Star.

All which lead me to believe that Keith Richie’s final artistic destination should be film soundtracks. It is quite remarkable how through his arrangements and thoughtful application of the constructive elements of each track, he is able to flesh out one single idea, turning it into an astonishing experience of exploration and discovery, on so many levels. The stuff blockbuster movies are made of!" – Robbie Tee

Ambient Highways Album Review on Sleeping Bag Studios!

"…the overall result of the songs and the layout of Ambient Highways has resulted in a very relaxing and thoroughly excellent experience. Each song building on the last progressively throughout the album as it plays, the music continually finds itself to a wide-array of energies and emotions and never loses the listener by becoming ‘over-ambient.’ Through a massive presence & subtle-personality to each of these creations, Ambient Highways retains a charming & captivating magic all the way through. Entirely enjoyable." – Jer@SBS

The Evil

KeithRichie-MarchoftheInanimateMarch of the Inanimate

“Slowly building, this opus-magnum incorporates some very haunting piano-melody and an increased intensity in the dark-electro, pulsing rhythms. “ … “’March Of The Inanimate’ is musically-menacing to say the very least.” – Jer@SBS

March of the Inanimate Review on Sleeping Bag Studios!

“Slowly building, this opus-magnum incorporates some very haunting piano-melody and an increased intensity in the dark-electro, pulsing rhythms. Again…considering the subject matter he’s based this music on – this fits right in there, right into the gritty underworld of horror-movie-mania; “March Of The Inanimate” is musically-menacing to say the very least. One of the longer tunes and justifiably so – “March Of The Inanimate” is certainly captivating, completely engaging and 100% worthy of its titular status.” – Jer@SBS

March of the Inanimate Album Review by Robbie Tee on Jamsphere

Keith Richie has given us a suspenseful soundtrack minus the movie. Apart from the casual ambient music fan, this is ideal music for creative people to write to and I wouldn’t be surprised if this inspires both professional and fledging filmmakers. Excellent and addictive, “March of the Inanimate” is a must have for fans of horror soundtracks or dark ambient works in general.

Don’t miss this opportunity to own digital copies of both albums for only $3.99! Order your copy of either Ambient Highways or March of the Inanimate or both today!

Ambient Highways Album Review on One World Music Radio

"This is one of the most amazing ambient albums I have had the pleasure to listen to for some time and it part took me back many years to my first taste of the genre with the likes of Vangelis and Jarre.

Here Richie doesn’t only do himself proud; he excels in a sumptuous delight of some of the finest electronic music since those times. …" – Steve Sheppard
