There was a great review of Ambient Highways written by Jonathan Widran over on The JW Vibe .
Jonathan discovered something while listening and reviewing Ambient Highways that I never thought of before. He uncovered a small “Water Suite” buried within the album, or as he more precisely calls it an ‘exquisite (and decidedly earthbound) “water suite”’ consisting of the tracks “Faith’s Song (Ptilopteri Waltz), “Arctic Shores” and “Neptune’s Awakening”.
Be sure to read his review by clicking right here.

We played a couple of songs from the “water suite” of Ambient Highways and I discussed some new music I’m working on for “Album 2”, specifically a song I refer to as “Sanford and Son”. (No, I’m not working on a collection of 70’s sitcom themes). We also talked about the untimely death of my phone over the weekend.
So go watch yourself and be sure to go listen to Ambient Highways and order your copy today!
Ambient Highways released yesterday and it’s already getting some really great reviews!
Eric Shupps and I kicked it off with a launch event during my weekly show called Monday Musings with Maestoso that you can watch by clicking right here.
I am so very thankful to finally get this album back out for everyone to enjoy so be sure to check it out.
I want to thank each and every single one of you who have supported me. You have kept me going through all of these years.
Of course, this is just the beginning of what’s in store for everyone, so stay tuned in by subscribing to my newsletter so you don’t missed out when the next wave of music starts releasing in the near future.
With that said, here are a couple of the reviews that I’m aware of for your reading pleasure.
“Look above however to the deep blue and mystical purple heavens and there, perhaps – and as long as we listen to Richie’s music as the soundtrack to our visual journey – we can find spiritual solace amidst the chaos. Richie wrote these tracks in 2015, but it’s almost as if these compositions were meant for our time, when we most need them, coming off a pandemic-addled year so much stress and anxiety. “
Click to read the entire review.
“Ambient Highways of Keith Richie is a constellation of songs that range from a dark cosmic feeling to an exuberant state which pulls the listener through these emotions crescendoing with the album’s key track Keeping the Dream Alive. Take a cinematic ride on the long, long road to Thule and hear the Ptilopteri whirling together in triplet time, and pass by places where sometimes angels weep, on a route that is emerging from the darkness and taking form constantly, filled with steady lights and throbbing streams of energy.”
