I’ve Awakened from Cryosleep Again — The Signal Grows Stronger
I’ve Awakened from Cryosleep Again — The Signal Grows Stronger
It’s not just a track—it’s a metaphor for a long pause. A suspended state of sound. And in my case, a symbolic reflection of nearly a decade of silence between musical explorations of The Maestoso Interstellar Suite.
When I released the original Maestoso Interstellar Suite in 2006, it was a continuous, immersive journey—one long-form track that carried listeners across the stars. A decade later, in 2016, I emerged briefly from that creative stasis to release a 10-year anniversary edition: an expanded, double-disc version with five new movements and an intermission. Movement VII (Cryosleep) was among the first of those new additions.
In many ways, it felt like I was awakening from cryosleep myself—blinking into the light of new tools, better production capabilities, and a renewed vision for the soundscapes I had left behind.
A Spark Reignited
Then, in 2019, a fan messaged me after hearing my single Distant Visions:
“Almost sounds like something from a second interstellar suite.”
That one line sent a shockwave through the silence. I was stirred again. And I realized—I wasn’t done with that universe. But this wouldn’t be a sequel. It would be something bigger.
Welcome to Infinity
In July 2022, I officially launched The Infinity Series—a living, breathing collection of ambient, orchestral, and space-driven music with no end. Each volume builds on the last but can stand on its own, offering new perspectives on familiar emotional terrain.
And so Infinity Volume II – Singularities was born—an evolution of The Maestoso Interstellar Suite, reframed through shorter, standalone tracks rather than one continuous movement.
Where the original Suite was a singular voyage, Singularities is the constellation chart—each track a star in orbit around the same sonic core. And leading the way? Movement VII (Cryosleep).
A Track That Marks a Transition
Cryosleep isn’t just the first song of the second volume—it’s the bridge between creative eras. Between the past and the present. It represents the moment of reawakening—when ideas that had slumbered finally stirred once again.
Sonically, it’s cold and contemplative, but slowly unfolding—like someone rousing from stasis in a distant corner of the galaxy, uncertain but ready. It captured my state of mind then… and still does now
Looking up and ahead
The journey didn’t end with Cryosleep. In fact, that’s where it began again.
Infinity Volume I – The Maestoso Interstellar Suite
Infinity Volume II – Singularities
… and more to come.
Now that I’m wide awake, I feel that stirring once again.
2026 will soon be upon us—marking 20 years since The Maestoso Interstellar Suite first entered our local system. And just like before, I hear the signal. The pulse of another chapter.
Volume III is calling me back.
The Infinity Series continues to grow—reaching back, pushing forward, and connecting the dots across time and sound. This isn’t nostalgia. It’s evolution.
